AGINCOURT

A lot of data survives for the English, and even the French, army at the famous battle of Agincourt fought on 25 October 1415.

Professor Curry has worked on this material for many years. The collection of data was much boosted by a grant from the charity Agincourt 600 which was set up to commemorate 600th anniversary of the battle and which administered the funds granted by HM Government for this purpose.

For details of other projects funded by Agincourt 600 and for other materials produced in the commemorative year see www.agincourt600.com

The soldiers named in the muster rolls of the English army in 1415, and those taking out protections to serve, are to be found on the main database. You can search for them using the date field (simply put 1415 in both boxes).

We have also looked at all of the retinues serving in the English army. For the information click on The English army in 1415
For the work we have done on the French army please click on The French army in 1415 (or The French army in 1415 (version française)).

Please don’t forget to acknowledge this site if you use any information from it in publications or on other websites.
